One kind of person that should not attend this school are people who are unmotivated to complete the rigorous coursework. I also believe that people who are unorganized because you have to keep each coursework from being mixed up with your other classes. Lastly, one kind of person that should not attend this school are people who procrastinate because the coursework will pile up and fast and in addition people who are wasteful because the school is all about be green.

Someone who needs to be entertained all the time. People who come here should be creative and open enough to not have activities placed on their doorstep.

If you're not willing to try hard and put your hand to the plow you probably dont want to attend this school. Professors, tutors, and counselors are always there to help the students that want to help themselves. If all you want to do is party, because thats what you think college is all about this is probably not the school for you. If you want college to be just like highscool with all the drama and popularity contests this schools more like a family and less like an episode of The Hills.

Someone who wants the sterotypical college experience (tons of social frat or soro parties, tailgating events, football games and other large athletics, a large campus, new faces everyday).

Students who grew up in a busy city with a large population do not tend to like life at UC Merced. Merced is a very small town and most activities are in surrounding areas. There is a great emphasis on outdoors. In short, if you don?t like the outdoors, and you want to be in a large place with a lot of things happening at once, UC Merced is not the campus.
