Pros: Great weather, quiet atmosphere, very close beach, good food. Cons: Not an exaggeration when they call this school "socially dead". No frat row and no football team makes for quiet weekends.

A RESEARCH BASED INSTITUTION THAT IS SLOWLY BECOMING A HOT SCHOOL TO ATTEND, BUT NEEDS TO WORK ON SCHOOL SPIRIT TO BREAK INTO THE LIKES OF UC BERKELEY AND UCLA.

UCSD is very big and beautiful with a lot of different faces, but it is very academically challenging and each student needs to put in a lot of effort on his or her own part to be successful.
