There isn't one sentence that can describe the whole class because some students are in class, eager to learn while others don't care about the material.

My classmates are friendly but are the types to keep to themselves.

There are a mix of students at UCSD just as there would be at any university, however the students here seem to be a bit more focused on their studies than other schools such as say, our neighbor SDSU. It is common for many to pass by a night out because their 20 page lab report is due soon. We still know how to have fun though, it just doesn't happen every weekend. Besides the partying though, the students here are pretty active as far as student organizations and community outreach goes. It is pretty easy to get involved.

Some are very socially awkward and seemingly are devoted to nothing outside of academics. The slight majority are very sociable, yet still highly intelligent, and get along well together which the normal college flair.

Hyper-studious yet fun.

Comparitively less social, especially the longer you are here. Some people are cutthroat competitive, but not as much as other schools.

Apathetic or encouraged to learn.

Academic

There's not much to describe. Some are willing to go out of their way to help but some are more self-centered and career-oriented.

Classmates normally have lots to say about the subject in question, or in disscusion sessions.

Most of them are so focused and study so much they seem to forget about real life.
