Our school is best known for its location, even though we have great academic progams, a lot of students focus on the fact that it is set in beautiful scenery and that Isla Vista, the student community, is a BIG party town. As a whole, the school programs have gotten increasingly better, the engineering and science departments have been growing exponentially and have nobel prize winning professors!

UCSB is known for being a top research university. It also has the reputation of being a party school although I believe this is an unfair label.
