My school is best known for its fantastic areo-space engineering program. Although I am not a part of this program I see all the things they do and it amazes me.

It is best known for being in a prime location. Based near the flatirons of Colorado, it is a beautiful campus. Students have the opportunity to go outdoors and learn a new skill, or fine-tune an old one.

The University of Colorado Boulder is known for being a party school, but the academics are also really important which is what makes the college great. There are all kinds of people that go here with all sorts of interests.

CU Boulder was once known for its “party school” reputation but over the years that has faded. While all schools, for the most part, offer some sort of party atmosphere, students can certainly choose not to engage in that. I believe CU is truly known for its excellent academics. As a large state university, the school offers a wide range of studies. This is great for students who are interested in many different subjects or even those who do not have a pre-determined major prior to attending school. Having options allows you see where your skills and passions align.

CU Boulder is best know for its enginer program. It has been said that some of the things that have been built here have actually gone to Nasa. Also another side fact is that it has an amazing campus, being next to the Colorado Rockies and all.

University of colorado lies on the lap of rocky mountain. So, if you go CU it will be a lot of fun to go hiking on mountain with friends. On the other side academic part of CU is excellent for the fact that there are lot of research going on in campus. It is known as one of best research school in nation.

Alexandra

One of my favorite campus traditions is the CU vs. CSU football game. Everybody makes T-shirts, parties, gets really excited and takes party buses down to Invesco field (where the Broncos play) to watch the game. The rivalry is very intense, which makes for a fun day full of spirit and parties (win or lose). Fortunately, we mostly win!

Hannah

CU is known for its amazing engineering programs, more specifically its Aerospace program. CU has sent NASA more astronauts than any other college. They have grants with NASA to send real satellites up into space.

Alissa

My favorite tradition is when our buffalo mascot, Ralphie, runs around the football field at the beginning of each half at home football games. Six "Ralphie Runners" run with Ralphie around the field and take care of him at a secret location off campus, and they dress up like cowboys/cowgirls. It's amazing to see our powerful mascot at every game because it brings to life our powerful school pride. CU's colors, gold and silver, are also a great tradition because they represent the richness of Colorado. The colors represent a purity in our intentions and actions, and gold and silver are easy to recognize.
