In Colorado Boulder is known as the people's republic of Boulder. That pretty much sums it all up.

The atmosphere in Boulder is great and there's something for everyone whether it's curricular or extracurricular. There are so many course options and the staff is great. There's just about any kind of restaurant you could think of around Boulder, and most cater to the student budget pretty well. The campus seems to be ever-growing as so many people want to go here and just as many don't want to leave.

Boulder is definitely a huge college town--go to a restaurant and look around...everyone is within the ages of 18-28ish Best thing about Boulder is the laid back atmosphere. The one thing I'd change is the ridiculous sorority girls and frat boys...basically the whole greek system is one annoying group of kids. There is a lot of school pride, people are always wearing the school apparel and most events have a good turnout. The biggest student complaint is the bookstore, it's the biggest ripoff I've ever unfortunately been involved in.

My favorite thing in Boulder is a sunny day. When the sun is shinning and it warms up hundred of students gather on every piece of grass around campus to hang out, do homework, play frisbee, and suntan. The atmosphere is welcoming and accepting to all who want to enjoy the beautiful day.

Our school is pretty big so it's easy to feel like you're just a number. I like that we are so proactive about the environment. People will think you're a hippy when you tell them where you go. But our degrees are pretty impressive.

The best thing about Boulder is the beautiful campus. It is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. There are so many students, and yet, you forget about that when you walk around. Everyone knows somebody. There's not a lot of school pride though, well there's school pride, but no real traditions to speak of....besides getting schwasted! Which brings me to the biggest complaint, "Dude, I got busted! All I was doing was drinking (or insert some drug)."

Boulder is amazing I come from California and had a hard time leaving the beach. However once I started school here I fell in love and have not once regreted being here at Boulder. Everything is amazing night life, socializing, being out doors. I love Boulder and its outdoor atmosphere.

We just like to have fun and let everyone have their own way. Nobody is an outcast, but there are some cliques. Go to the stadium grill for dorm food if you live on campus.

One of the best things about Boulder is that everyone is so involve and it is easy to get involved in anything. As far as school size, I fell it is just right, it is definitely not a small school. There are a ton of places to hang out on campus. when the weather is nice their will always be people on Farrand Field playing Frisbee, football, soccer, etc. I also spend some time in the cadet lounge which is where a lot of the ROTC people hang during the day. The town of Boulder is amazing. It has great food and shops, and campus is just a short walk away from Pearl street mall, 29th street mall and the "hill", all of which are great. CU has a tremendous amount of school spirit. The stadium is packed for every football game and tailgating goes on all day long. CU has the number on mascot, Ralphie, a real buffalo, who when runs down the field during half time and the beginning of the game gets the stands to erupt.

Boulder is the perfect college town. It has a wonderful enviornment that is very college student friendly. It's beautifully placed against the flat irons of the Rocky Mountains. The biggest hangout is called "The Hill" and it is just a short walk from campus. The Hill has tons of dinning places, The Fox (a theatre where they hold great concerts), and many cool houses where lots of students live. The Boulder community is really friendly with college students and it is a great place to go to school, lots to do!
