University of Denver Top Questions

Here's your chance: Say anything about University of Denver!

Sara

The location, attension and diversity.

Becca

The international studies program and some business programs are top ten in the nation.

Margy

The size, it is small enough to be a strong community: you cannot walk across campus without seeing someone you know. However, it is not too large that your classes are packed with students in a lecture hall. Our typical class size is 20-25 students. The quarter system is what really attracted me to the campus though. I was sick of a semester school after leaving high school. At DU, we go to school from mid September until the week before Thanksgiving. We have 6 weeks off for winter break.

Elizabeth

Business school, skiing, drinking

Erin

It is very prestigious. The campus is beautiful and the people are very friendly. It is very rigorous!

Ryan

The location really; a lot of different things to do in Denver that other schools could not have offered.

Kevin

Denver is a mid-sized school that is on the quarter system. Unlike other schools, we have three quarters during the year and have a massive six week break between thanksgiving and new years. We are also close to the mountains and to the city of Denver, which gives us the best of both worlds.

Matthew

It has a good academic program and reputation for liberal arts.

Matt

The Rockies!

Natasha

I really dislike DU and wish I would have made a better decision about college.

Tiffany

Definitely visit, you'll know if you belong!

Alexandria

DU is awesome. I really can't see myself anywhere else. No matter what, I always feel at home and I can't wait until the summer is over so I can go back!

Robin

I would not reccomend DU to most anybody. I've found it incredibly stiffling to intelectual growth and expression and I've found that the social atmosphere is entirely lacking for me. Maybe this is a good place for somebody that wants the highschoolesk environment. I don't know.

Reed

This school likes to give away lots of grants for extracurricular work. Take advantage of this. Travel the world, work locally to fight homelessness, or go to an art show in New York for the weekend (seriously).

Adrienne

DU is a great school! I think everyone can find their place here.

Torry

DU will teach you how to above all things kiss ass.

Alex

Take your harder classes first and if you are coming in with credits, take only 12 credits 3rd quarter, its a bitch. Also, we get 6 weeks off for Christmas, its badass

Liz

I LOVE DU! The only thing that is hard is right now - all of my friends are home from school, and I am still in school for another few weeks.

Kelly

I really enjoy the University of Denver. It's an excellent, overall very great school that's providing me with an amazing education that will help me in my life.

Elena

The University of Denver for me represents a toxic environment, and while I have had some positive experiences here, they have been far outweighed by the negative. If I had known four years ago what I know now, I would not have come here. The tuition is astronomical and absolutely not worth it. I feel like I am getting an education in upper middle class white privilege than anything else. DU has significantly lowered my opinions of higher education, and particularly of schools with "good reputations"
