Its difficult to speak to actual professors they usually send you to their teachers assistants which are not always very helpful.

I would have to say the most frustrating thing is the defeatest attitude of some of the students.

The lack of finances toward the Art Department and other artistive venues. UK is so focused on being in the top ten research university and focusing on engineering, medicine, science, and law, that it forgets to make sure that other departments have adequate funding.

Teachers who know little to no english teaching classes. Buildings are old.

The most frustrating thing about the University of Kentucky is the budget cut and what they have done to try and cope with it. The state cut the university's bydget by twenty million dollars and there have been several changes made around the university. One of the major things they did was cut the library hours from twenty four hours during the week to closing at two a.m. This was not accepted by the students and we campainged to change the hours and back and they finally did.

There are a lot of students here so you have to work hard to make yourself stand out.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the lack of religious and ethnic diversity. Many students are from Kentucky and the international population represents a very small percentage. More diverse campuses tend to grow and progress and follow change more than ours.

Again, I would have to say the social structure. I have tried desperately to get involved in church/christian affiliated groups, habitat for humanity and other organizations and clubs, but haven't had much luck. Many of the students within these organizations already have friends they either went to highschool with or have known since rush week. I have been satisfied in all other areas. It has so much to offer to better your future in areas of gaining experience and knowledge in whatever direction you decide to go in.

The walk to class.

BUREAUCRACY...SOMETIMES YOU KIND OF GET THE RUN AROUND WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH THE ADMINISTRATION. YOU JUST HAVE TO DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING, TO MAKE SURE THE UNIVERSITY IS DOING THEIR JOB AND YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT COURSE. AND FOR YOUNG STUDENTS THEY HAVE NEVER HAD TO REALLY DO THAT. WHICH I GUESS IS A GOOD LESSON TO LEARN FOR BEING AN ADULT! HA!
