As a high school student in Michigan I never realized how popular U of M was around the country. I was worried college here was going to be just like high school with all of the same people.

Michigan is known to be really large, to have great school spirit, and intelligent students. The out of state kids are known to be snobby and rich, while the in-state kids are less intelligent. Also, socially it has a bar scene and freshman and sophomore years are dominated by the Greek system.

That we smoke pot all the time

The people that go to Michigan are all nerds, completely obsessed with school work and the library. They never go out and have fun. The girls are all ugly, and the guys have to go to Michigan State to date.

They are stuck up and full of themselves. A lot of my friends from high school decided to go to Michigan State and when they come to visit they say we are not heavy partiers in comparisons. Also some people say everyone who goes here is rich.

Michigan students are often seen as being very arrogant and egotistical. There is also the stereotype that everyone that goes here is rich and/or spoiled.
