You should come to Michigan only if you can figure things out for yourself. You can do great things, learn anything you want, get the resources you need, and find people with common interests, but only if you go and get it. This is not a school for students who let their parents take care of everything. You will not be babied. You will be given the same rights and respect as an adult; you need to act like one and accept the responsibilities of adulthood. It is here for you. The rest is up to you.
