Students who place art as a top priority should consider attending this college. Students who are very creative and open minded who like the stababilty of a small school are the kidn of students perfect for this campus.

Like any university, they shoud be a person who is willing to dedicate themselves to completing school. Someone who is only there to do nothing is not someone who needs to be there.

Honestly any open minded person willing to be part of a diverse community of people should attend. Anyone that is okay with attending a smaller campus should consider it, because I have found that even though there is not a extreme amount of people, all the people here are really nice and accepting of who you are.

This school is great for all types of people. The school offers a wide variety of majors and is always trying to accomodate the changing workforce.

I think anyone who are accepting of others, when I say this I mean doesn't care about Pigmentation, Sexual Orientation, Religion, etc... it not like other giant schools either, the concrete jungles I call them. Its nice, with roughly 4500 students to get along and explore the diversity in humanity. I can say if you want to meet other students with diversed majors and get together and see how they all tie in together in the web of the world. Like today we learned how geology ties in with Architecture, Hygeine, Oceans, and Math and Science.

The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who is an introvert with extrovert abilities. The campus is not large and you have the perfect opportunity to be yourself without being judged.

Montevallo is a unique little town and campus. Students here should enjoy the college experience opportunities and focus on academics. There is not a great deal to do in this little town, but, there are activities to be involved in. Academics are extremely important here, and the social life is a little slow...except for athletics. There are a LOT of green activities and the Environmental Studies program is awesome and expanding.

Anyone who has become disillusioned in high school. Going through senior year, you are suddenly introduced to many rules and social constructs that make no immediate sense to most people, and it is very easy to find yourself bitter and angry about the trappings of America and its educational system. Montevallo goes out of its way to show you what these systems are, and what is expected of you as an adult. The teachers and professors are very excited to share their fields with you, and are very aware of all the arbitrary limitations of society.

Any type of human is welcome at Montevallo, but the people who truly thrive here are open-minded, happy, accepting, energetic, and artistic people. This school has many people who vary in terms of sexuality, religion, and race, so anyone interested in Montevallo needs to be open to these differences. Artistic people are also very successful here because of the amazing arts program and beautiful campus. It is also quite necessary to be energetic because students do A LOT of walking here, and with restaurants like Moe's on campus, it is tempting to lose track of calories!

Since beginning at Montevallo, I have not come across two people with blantantly similar backgrounds. From local teenage moms getting their education to students travelling across the world to play sports, if you feel like a small, intimate school is where you should be, Montevallo may just be for you.

If you enjoy peace and quiet all the time then the University of Montevallo is the place for you. A calm and friendly natured person would enjoy attending this university.

UM is a very diverse university. I would say that a student wanting to attend should be very open to meeting new people and being open to other peoples' views on life. Someone who is an all around person and not afraid to think outside of the box and act spontaneously would do very well in the environment UM provides. I love the uniqueness of being the only public liberal arts school in Alabama and each applicant should be willing to accept that UM is cut from a different cloth.

Montevallo is a liberal art college, so anyone who is majoring in a liberal art degree. Montevallo has a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio, so if a person gets the most out of a teacher who is direct and always accessible, Montevallo is the school to look at.

An open person, somebody who wants to do hard work but likes to have fun too. Lots of art-centered activities and the people are hospitable. Should like a small town.

At the University of Montevallo, students get a well rounded experience from the people that attend to the education provided. The school is a liberal arts school with lots of variety among the students and teachers. Being at an arts school means there is no shortage on entertainment from theatre shows to sporting games. There is a wealth of activities to do on the campus. Montevallo is so much more than a university its a home. The average person could go here to the future scienctist to the jock to the artsy. Everyone is welcomed and everyone will love it.
