University of Montevallo Top Questions

Their lack of food options on campus. The cafeteria is poor quality. The only other place is Jazzman's, a coffee shop. Their food was once amazing then they decided to make (unneeded) changes, thus lowering their quality in my eyes.

The most frustrating thing about the Universtiy of Montevallo is that there are not a lot of programs or activities for non traditional students and commuters. They are working hard to fix this and change takes time and I hope to be apart of the process to bring this change about.

We have some students who do not care enough about their education. They think just because they got this big scholarship, they can get away with everything. They take away from those of us who actually care.

The fact that it is a small campus and that word travels like wildfire, much like a high school. Also that if you are in a fight or arguement with someone you WILL run into them at some point. Also that some of the teachers are unwilling to help ecause they are being paid a good bit of money and expect the students to care about what they make. However, the teacher problem is more then likely going to happen at all colleges.

There is nothing really about the university I have a problem with. If I had to say one thing that was a problem to me, it would be the location away from places of entertainment whenever I want to get away to relax, such as the movies.

Administrative offices do not communicate frequently enough with each other to ensure that students receive adequate information rather than ambiguous tidbits of information. Students often get the "run around" from offices that would rather transfer students to another office than answer their questions.

The most frustrating thing at this school is the food. The food is made fresh and there is always something there to eat like ceral. The quality of the food is very poor.

I have found nothing to be really frustrating during the time I have been at Montevallo. Just keep caught up with your campus mail and e-mail and you should be fine.

It is not close enough to grocery stores.
