I wasn't born and raised in Texas. I came from an area where everything moved a bit faster. I surely didn't come from a place that is full of people with so much pride. When I brag to my friends about my school, I definitely don't hesitate in saying, "We're the Mean Green Eagles and proud of it!" We're also a campus that practices an eco-friendly lifestyle. Can it get any better than that? We're proud, and we're helping the planet one day at a time.

The University of North Texas has one of the best music schools in the country, along with one of the top resesrch schools in the country.

The college of music on campus provides one of the best, if not the best music program in America. Many people transfer from several countries to recieve instruction. The instructors are profound and established musicians who have hands on experience in each field of study. The opportunity is vast and there is so much to take advantage of.

I go to a very liberal and diverse school. There are many opportunities for growth and development. We have school spirit and wonderful programs. My school has a lot o different majors and programs offered. There are extra curricular organizations for alost everything, and if an organization doesn't aready exist youcan create one easily. My university offers the feeling ofa prite school with many teachers who are easily accesible and willing to tutor. The university also offers a variety of programs developed to help you succeed in your studies.

I often tell my friends about the music on campus. Anywhere and at anytime it seems that I hear all types of different music - on my way to class, in the dorm, in the cafeteria - someone is playing an instrument. I really enjoy the talent that our student body has in the creative fields outside of music as well, such as art. I have met many artists at North Texas and am impressed with their skill. Also, the professors are very involved and committed to helping students learn the material sufficiently.

Most of the time I love to tell my friends about everything happening on campus. Everywhere you look there is something going on. People are protesting, trying to teach, and raising money for some cause all of the time, and I think it is great that the university allows this freedom. Another thing I brag about is my teachers. Some universities seem cold and uncaring. At UNT, the professors try to help you. They give you ways to contact them, and are there whenever you have a question. I feel like that is something that is worth bragging about.

I usually brag about the diversity here and the great activities it has, mainly the professors, how they go out of their way to help and support.

I am proud to be a member of our nationally acclaimed music school, which hosts award-winning faculty and Grammy-winning ensembles. The UNT College of Music brings in famed performers, conductors, and clinicians every semester to give concerts, lectures, and master classes that I would have never had access to anywhere else. Our alumni work in the US Army Band, the Metropolitan Opera, and professional symphonies all over the world. As a music education student at the UNT College of Music, I have the opportunity to network early and get hands-on experience in my field.

trans-gendered, ethnically diverse, astute, cool professors. decent food options and clear labelling for vegans. killer music school. great events: on-campus performances and speakers. peace studies program. access to valuable resources-- health services, gym, academic journals, free counselling.

Honesty I don't really brag to my friends about anything, I'm more of a listner than a talker.
Alisha
I dont brag, but if I did it would have to be about the events and my friends here. I love the people I have met here because they are genuine and whenever I am upset they always find a way to make me feel better.

It is fun and a life growing experience. I can feel responsible when I'm managing my time and doing my stressful school work. I always feel acomplished after each semester not by just completing school work but the material I have learned. When it comes to the weekends I'm able to enjoy myself either with a large party, or just quality times with life long friends.
Ashley
It is a really fun campus. There is always something to do. The rec center is awesome and they have a variety of classes you can take. Even though we dont have the best football team, tailgaiting at the football games is the best part of the fall semester!
Bethany
For the most part, I would brag about the school's potential. It is growing faster than it can compensate, but it has a long way to go before it is a competitor with UT, Tech, and A&M.
Candice
It's very convenient. I can get across campus in 10-15 minutes, but it's big enough to feel like you are in college, not high school.
Kenneth
The school provides high quality education at a very affordable price.

At UNT, I brag about the diversity of our campus. Not only are we ethnically and culturally diverse, we are also diverse in many other ways. We are known for our music program but we also have excellent fine arts programs, engineering programs and our pre-professional organizations are growing tremindously. There is always something for everyone.
