Definitely be responsible and dont let the freedom of being in college deter you from your school work. I was a good kid in high school, focused on my school work, and with a strict father I didnt have much freedom like some of my friends did. When I got to college, I was living on my own with roommates, in our own apartment in a whole new city for me. With no restrictions from any grown-up, and no one telling me what time to be home and things of that nature I kind of went on a partying spree. I wasnt the only student partying all the time and going to classes. But with my first taste of that much freedom and being on my own I lost sight of my studies and my grades began to slip. Which lead me to dropping out of FSU after my freshman year and eventually attending community college again after a year and a half of a break from being in school. Wish I was more responsible back then and focused more on school then partying. Definitely regret those mistakes.

If I could go bank in time to talk to my high school self, I would tell myself not to quit high school. I wasn't dumb by any means in high school, but some bully issues caused me to stop attending many of the classes that I needed to graduate. I should of just stuck through it for the last year of high school. If I would of stayed in school, I feel that I would have quailified for more scholarships to help pay for my college today. I never realized how expensive college is until now. Before choosing an online college, I wan't to attend a traditional college. Unfortunatly, attending a traditional college kept me from resuming a full time job to pay my bills. I'm glad that I took this step to return to college a few years ago. I could never be happier for the direction my life is moving.

I would tell myself that the most important piece of advice to know is time managment. I would set goals and have a plan in acheiving the goals that I set for myself. I would let myself know that it is okay to ask for help and that you have to do what your heart wants, and not just to please others. I would let myself know that it is okay to make mistakes however, every mistake should be used as a learning experience and platform for success. I would also let myself know that all of the sleepless nights and papers written will pay off and one day will be a distant memory of the path I took to success.

The advice I would give to myself in high school would be to stay motivated and focused. Really prepare yourself for your future and no what you want to study and where you want to study. Do research into careers and schools. Do not succumb to distractions. Do everything you can with the time allotted while still enjoying yourself.

Don't be afraid to go to college! If your heart is set on a major, stick with it, don't be afraid of how long it will take to obtain that degree. Go to college, study hard, remember to relax a little, it's not as bad as it looks.

The advice that I would give myself as a high schooll senior is to keep track of deadlines. It is very important to keep track of deadlines when you are a college student. I would also tell myself to make sure I use the plagiarism checker on all english assignments in order to make sure they are accurate. I would also tell myself to make sure that I use the school library. Using the school library is very important because the school library can really help students succeed. I would also tell myself to ask teachers questions if I am ever unsure about an assignment that I am working on. If a student is uncertain about something on an assignment then, asking questions can help resolve the problem. I would also tell myself to ask questions if I am ever uncertain about anything that is happening when working in a group. There are assignments that require students to work with other students. Sometimes working with other students can be hard when things arise that students are unsure about. If uncertainties arise then, it is important for group members to resolve the situation or ask the teacher for help.

Don't wait ! Going to school when you are living at home is much easier than trying to fit it in as adult with kids and a housefold to run along with a full time job. Stop worrying about peers and work! There is time for that as an adult!

College can either be a great experience, or the worst time of one's life depending on how important that individual makes their college years matter. I was not lucky enough to have that college experience going straight to a community campus after high school, living off campus, and now attending an online school. If I knew then what I know now, I would have taken going to college more seriously. It is important to choose your school soley based on what works for you only if at all possible since you will be the one atteding the school. A lot of people settle for schools that are close to home, far from home, or they follow a friend with hopes of not being alone. These are things to consider, but not ideal reasons when choosing which school to attend. One should also try and maintain a good GPA. Freshman seem to have a hard time adjusting their first year in college, but if they remain focus on the ultimate goal, which is graduation everything else should come easy.

I would go back an tell myself to just stop doubting my abilities and just be who I am, as a person and just go with whatever dreams that is in my heart to follow. But, the coolest thing that is sometimes the most powerful choices that we can make in our lives is to decide to experience what lives has to offer us as a person. The choices that we tend to make back then just might not been the one that we wanted at that point. So when you tend to grow up you tend to realize what our parent has taught us and what type of direction we will follow in order to reach that goal. I believe that my parent gave me some good adivice when I was in high school and I just kept them with me in my adult lives. Once you enter college for the first times it is scary but, thats when your live as a adult being and how you are going to make that work. The advice that I still give myself as an adult in college only take out what you need for college and don't forget payments.

I would tell my highschool self to stay active in looking for scholorships because college is expencive. Also, college is a great place to realy become who you are and help you discover where it is that you are capable of going. I would also emphasize the importance of good grades and attendance. I have a nephew in high school now and i have promised him a hundered dollers for every year that he gets perfect attendance because, in the work force perfect attendance is a quality that is sought after by every company. I have found in my life time that doing the right thing all the time, and being honest is the most important qualitys to have within yourself. The quality of life when you are good and honest is the way to live. You get what you put out in life so be sure you are finding your way with integrity.
