As a returning college student, I wish I had known how difficult it is to go back to school. Students hear it all the time from parents and professionals, but we don't really have a full understanding of what they mean. Life gets in the way. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and believed that I would go back to school right away if it wasn't the right field for me. Nine years later, I am finally getting the chance to do that. I wish I had understood to get a second degree right away.

However, without really exploring my inner feelings about how I was currently spending my time and what the ultimate payoff would really be I was doing myself a great injustice. To know where you are going in life you need to know yourself, pay attention to each and every feeling, want and need. Get a good grasp on who you are and exactlty what you want.

I wish that I would have known that students are grouped by region - I live in a conservative, mid-western region and thus am not exposed to a lot of diversity in the classroom.

I was told everything about the school before I attended. I made sure to find out all the information I could before I came to University of Pheonix. The counslers there do everything they can to help you.
