That college isn't like high school and you need to work hard.

I wish I had known their policies for finals and how much the professors and advisors could care less if you are failing or not.

I to Pitt for it's Pharmacy program. I applied for the pre-pharmacy program and my school made it seem like it wouldn't be a problem to get into the pharmacy school. Little did I know that hundreds of students are accepted into "pre-pharmacy" when really its just like being accepted inot the school of arts and sciences. This school was way out of my budget but I thought it would be a good investment. 4 years later I was not one of the less than 100 students admitted into the pharmacy school out of 1000+ applicants.

There is a lot of partying, but there is a lot of other stuff to do, and there are a lot of other people who don't drink. Spend enough time on homework, but spend time making friends, too.

How academically challenging it was.

I wish I had a better grasp of how the layout and the social scene of the University was.

I wish I knew that everyone was going to be put in the same situation as me in terms of finding new people to be friends with. I had the wrong impression that everyone would find quick friends and never be open to meeting new people. Everyone on this campus is always looking for someone to be close with, or someone to join their group of friends.

I wish I had been warned about how much work was required out of me on my own. I was always told that college would be harder or more difficult but no one ever told me why. In my opinion, it's because you have dedicate your own time to learning the material. You can't count on the professor for everything.
