I absolutly love the fact that there are so many opportunities at St. Thomas. I am involved in Choir and the Tommie Ambassador Team, which hosts prospective students and helps to put on Admissions events. Through these activities, I have met so many great friends that I spend time with outside of organization meetings. For example, this past weekend was an Admissions event, and a few of the room hosts got our prospective students together and went to a concert on campus.

There are dozens of clubs and organizations to join on campus...I walked in the homecoming parade this year with the Globally Minded Student Association, and made t-shirts for National Coming Out Day with the Allies. Sometimes, I have to pick one meeting over another, there are so many options! Plus, with the free bus to the Minneapolis campus, you are only a block away from Nicollet Mall, the two-story Target, and the light-rail station to the Mall of America. As a bonus, you're in one of the best neighborhoods in St. Paul, with restaurants and entertainment only a mile or two away on Grand or in Highland Park.

One of the most popular activities on campus is called Tommies After Dark, which plans an event for every Saturday night. We also offer a wide variety of intermural sports and pretty much any club you can think of. If you think of a club you want to start, St. Thomas allows you to do that as well. I met my closest friends through choir and living in the dorms. It is great to go off campus and go shopping at the Mall of America or in downtown Minneapolis.

UST has over 100 clubs and organizations. If for some reason we don't have the club you are looking for, you can start it! Just find ten friends and a professor to sponsor you and you can create any club you want. The dorm life here allows students to be very involved as well. Different dorms organize activities and events, as do different floors. There are always guest speakers, movie nights, or athletic events, so keep an eye on the bulletin boards around campus! Some of my favorite events this year have been: going to a Twins game, attending a free screening of Avatar, seeing Mary Poppins (the Broadway musical) in Downtown Minneapolis, and attending a lecture by Jerry of Ben and Jerry's.

St. Thomas offers everything from DIII varsity athletics to choirs, pre-professional clubs, service clubs, club sports and social clubs.
Athletic events like football and basketball games are popular, but plenty of students choose other things to do. I met my closest friends through a mixture of my freshman dorm floor, classes and my team.
There's never a shortage of things to do both on and off campus. St. Thomas always has discounted tickets to musicals and movies, tons of free stuff like shirts, hats and mugs and free campus activities like speakers, cook-outs and social events.
Some of the best traditions at UST are the Tommie/Johnnie games, Homecoming events, Spring Fling dance and concert and Late Night Breakfast.

Dorms are really big I remember... I met amazing people at UST on campus my freshman year. Athletics are really fun and there's always something to do on campus. Nice thing is, UST is in the city so there are ALWAYS things to do! **PLUS** if you're thinking long-term, because it's in the city - there are a lot of internship and job opportunities post-college! Weekends are a lot of fun - I lived close to UST but never went home and neither did my friends. We went to parties and get-togethers off campus too. Lots of students live in the houses just around the 5 block radius of campus so it makes it really easy to get to and from class. I lived off-campus my Junior and Senior year and still stayed on campus a lot for events... such as Sara Bareilles (sp?), Dashboard Confessional & Plain White Tee's concerts!!!
