If you want a big city, people from all types of backgrounds, and warm weather then the University of Vermont is not the right school for you. Although there are many nice qualities about UVM, it is a very enclosing community. There is little diversity not just among race but also economically. If you are absolutely against drinking and drugs, the school is also not right for you for those two activities are what most people partake in during the weekends.

Anyone and everyone. But the one thing I got to say is that if you do not waant a big school then this is the wrong school for you.

From what i've seen, minorities are not comfortable on this campus and tend to stick together and do the same things. Unless you ski or snowboard it really is hard to become part of the popular crowd without joining Greek life. Everyone in super cliquey so if you're the middle of the road type expect yourself to be going through some major transitions. I wouldnt come here if you seriously care about grades either, those kids are the biggest minority on camus.

Someone who is against drinking and going out. If you hate the cold and snow you would not like it here.

Someone who does not like outdoor activities/the cold, and is not interested in trying new things.

The type of person to not attend this school would be a Republican, or, at least, one who gets easily offended by other's political views. Those opposed to viewable drug use should also not attend, nor those who are opposed to chilly temperatures and lots of wind. The school is very liberal based, so those who get hurt, or perhaps are very subject to peer pressure should not attend.

Anyone who can't handle below zero temperatures and those who don't like the great outdoors.

I don't know if there is anyone who shouldn't attend the school, only people who live and love the big city or hate the cold.

A person who usaully gets homesick alot . Eventhough everyone at UVM is very caring, i personally feel that you will not enjoy going to UVM, if you have that particular issue

UVM is for students that are environmentally friendly and very open minded.

People who are extremely critical, conservative, homophobic, racist, or unaccepting in any way should steer clear of this school. This is an overly accepting school, and they would most likely feel out of place.

someone who likes being happy and enjoying life and also likes to learn and loves the outdoors.

This school will accept a variety of personality types. Anyone can "fit in" at the University of Vermont if they are willing to put themselves out there and meet new people. What makes UVM special is the friendliness and the ability for everybody to accept everybody, people who can't posses these qualities are the only people that should not attend this university. At UVM I have had groups of friends with extremely different personality types but due to everyone's friendliness and acceptability we all get along very well.

One who loves the outdoors and can seperate school and social scene on their own.

If you are one of the following: Skier/Boarder, Hippy, Engineer, Environmentalist, you get the pattern.

Someone with an open mind, who wants a big school but not too big, who likes snow. Someone who takes advantage of the opportunities life throws their way.
