I think UW-Milwaukee would be a great school for anyone looking to meet new people from different countries and states, get support on what you decide to do in life. UW-Milwaukee is a great school for those wanting to see the world from a different perspective. To be honest, I feel that UW-Milwaukee has something for almost everyone out there.

The only person that might not want to attend this school are those who are not serious about there studies. Professors want to see you succeed but if you don't put in any effort then you will fail. This school does its best to include everyone and has many events and activites to encourage social interaction between students.

The kind of person that is really conservative and doesn't like change because this school exposes it's students to different cultures, activities and expects the students to respect other people's choices. Enrolled students should be prepared to try new things and be open to learn things not in their curriculum or else they won't get the full experience that the school tries to provides.

I think UWM fits most people well. There are people of all ages and backgrounds at the school.

I think the person that should not attend this school is someone that is looking for a small town personal experience. Though the professors are very friendly and willing to help a lot of the classes are very large and unless you attend office hours it would not be possible to have a relationship with your professors. The campus is also in a very large city.

The kind of person who shouldn't attend this school is the kind of person who doesn't like to socialize or a lot of people.

Neither people yet to graduate high school nor people who are already successful in their life goals or careers should attend this school.

Someone who thinks that they are going to be able to not go to class and still get throught. Although I would not say that this school is extremely demanding, it does require attendance for many of its classes.

Anyone who is afraid of diversity, shouldn't come to this school! UWM is a very diverse school. There are are people with a wide variety of backgrounds. Also a person who isn't comfotable with a lot of people.

Students who aren't serious about doing well in their courses shouldn't come to this school. Many of the classes are very challenging and require a lot of work outside the classroom.

Students who want to go to a smaller college with less students and smaller class sizes. Students who prefer to be close to the professor should chose a different school.

Someone who is afriad of responsiblity. Uwm gives a student alot of resposiblity and alot of freedom. You have to be mature and ready to handle paying the bills on time and having the motivation to go to class. Its alot of work but its worth it in the end.

If you are afraid of big cities and using public transportation to get around the city.

I think all people should give higher education a chance. Not everyone succeeds their first try with school, but everyone benefits from it. Some people learn better through apprenticeships. Even though one is not taking classes, they are still learning as if they were goign to school.

I would not recommend UW-Milwaukee to someone who feels uncomfortable with change or cities. This is because of peer interaction, distractions, and diversity. At UW-Milwaukee, there are many opportunities to develop relationships with your peers. However, it is impossible to know everyone. This could cause of a feeling of isolation. Milwaukee has a variety of entertainment; however this could be distracting for someone who does not enjoy the city. UW-Milwaukee also introduces students to new ideas, cultures, and opportunities. If someone is not willing to explore new ideas and change I would not recommend UW-Milwaukee.

Someone who isn't a self starter and needs to have a lot of attention paid to them too keep up with the course work.

Individuals who are intending to attend a small school in a rural area would not be satisfied with UW-Milwaukee. The class size can be extremely large, so again, those looking for more hands on, smaller class sizes should not attend Milwaukee. Milwaukee is a larger city, and one of the most diverse in the United States, therefore, not suitable for those who like smaller uniform cities.

An outgoing well driven person would fit in well here. Being outgoing is important because of the vast number of people that attend this school. Along with that, being well driven is very important because of the lack of connection between students and staff. It is important that students have enough drive because they do not get much personal motivation from faculaty.
