The best thing about UW-Milwaukee is the diversity. Being a minority, I felt that it was important for me to find a college that I would feel comfortable in. At UW-Milwaukee, you feel accepted and there are so many resources to help you along the way. It's exciting and an eye opener seeing different people from different states, even countries! I feel that I can relate to a lot of people on several different levels; rather it be culture, food, music, fashion and style, make up- anything really!

My favorite thing about UWM is its location. It is located near Lake Michigan in Wisconsin's biggest city. There is alot of things to do on campus and in the city because Milwaukee is not only a college town.

I would say the diversity is the best thing about the campus learning and meeting new people and growing to love new cultures and traditions.

The amout of activites and clubs to get involved in

It is a large university but located in a compact space for the most part. The school has been expanding in recent years which means housing and classrooms have moved off the main campus.

The best thing about UWM is the campus. The campus is beautiful, and is in a great location.

I think the best thing about this school is the research opporunities. They are not advertised for that well but if you seek them out yourself there are quite a few opporutnities available, and research with a professor is a great way to get good recommendation letters!

I would definitely have to say the best thing about my school is the friendly atmosphere. Often times, people are so subject to staying within the box, not being themselves. But at my school, there's no way to do that. You have all types of colors, races, and backgrounds. In life you have to adjust. You have to play the hand you're dealt, and because of my diversity I can now go beyond the barriers that society has unfortunately tried to place before me. That's the best thing about my school.

These opportunities help students at UWM discover who they are and what they are interested in. Joining clubs or taking classes that are related closely to your interests helps students link to others with similar interests. The various opportunities found on campus also help students to reach out to the community and broaden their outlook on life.

The best thing about UW-Milwaukee is probably the diversity. The campus is very accepting of LGBTQ, disadvantaged, and minority students. The art and music aspects of the city help to shape a very interesting student population as well.

I consider the Library to be the best thing about the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I can always come and get help here when I need it. I work here and I really like the other students that I work with and I enjoy meeting the other library patrons and learning about their classes.

I think the best thing about my school is the overall general atmosphere. Walking around campus you really get the feeling that you belong, from students to staff I know that I can talk to anybody just to socialize or to get help and learn tips about how do to well in school. Also I feel like a lot of learning really goes on, my school is preparing me for my future and giving me the confidence that I feel will help me a lot in the future, and that?s what?s so great about my school.

What I consider the best thing in my school is how many choices it has for everybody. For the obvious reasons of why it is the best thing at my school and many other schools, is that when you don't like a major you got yourself in, you can always change and try something different. University of Milwaukee is a big college with many careers, and activities to choose from. It's around where I live which makes it even more conveinant. They are organized and all of the professors are nice.

The best thing about University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is that there is a very wide variety of classes and majors one is able to take. In the time of arrival to this school, I was unsure of which major to pick, but through it's wide array of choices, I discovered interests in africology and philosophy that I would have never been able to discover without taking the classes. There is absolutely a class for everyone here from any kind of major or department.

The best thing about UWM is the size and diversity of the school. The university has so many majors and programs that are offered, offering something for every student. Also the quality of the Library and other school facilities make the school a desirable place to be.

What I consider the best thing about my school is the location of my school. It is located right in the heart of the city so your options are never limited. There are many events to attend throughout the year, and many nearby resturaunts to eat at. The lake is also very close by, so whenever I need some time to relax after school instead of going home, I go down to the lake. Another things is that my school is located in a city where the weather never fails you. So from snow to sun, we have it all.

The best thing that I would consider about UW-Milwaukee is that during your freshman year, UWM would provide you a mentor to tour you around the university and provide answers to all your questions. These mentors are students that are going to the same field as you are and because you are both going to the same field, the mentor would give you an overview of what to take and what to expect. They will be there during the semester for guidance and assistance. UWM provide freshman these mentors so they would feel more comfortable with the unfamiliar territory.
