The most frustrating thing about my school, would have to be that my curriculum was changed in the middle/end of my studies; I understand that the school needs to be progressive, but I feel as though I should have been grandfathered in.

The isolation, one may feel in UWO, can be very challenging. I live five hours away from campus, and I had a hard time making friends and sociallizing in a new environment. There are very few options to socialize on campus.

The most frustrating thing is the variety of clubs to pick from! There's so many I want to join, but I don't have enough time in my schedule for all of them, sadly.
Tara
I would say the most frustrating thing is that I don't feel safe. There have been many incidents that occured in short periods of time and since I live off campus I walk by these areas on a daily basis. It gets scary especially since it gets dark out so quickly in the winter.

The most frustrating thing about my school is that it is so far away from my home. I am taking my college courses online, but would like my school to be closer so that I may participate in school events. I am a single mother and I work full-time so there is little time for me to attend classes on campus. I would still like to be involved, attend veterans meetings and social clubs. I feel that being involved with your school and classmates contributes to successful learning.

The most frusterating thing about college is also the freedom. It's so easy to just not go to class becuase they won't call your parents and ask why you aren't in class. If the professor takes attendence, then you may just get points docked off your grade. Also, it's easy to take a nap or watch TV between classes instead of doing homework. With all the freedom, you really have to plan your days to accomodate your schedule.

I find the scholarly attempts to mold the viewpoints of students the most frustrating thing about this University. The textbooks are rich with useful information, though the information is often presented in a less than objective manner. Older students are able to discern the relevance of the information and make sound judgements regarding how they feel and apply the information. Younger students with less life experience need to carefully consider the information that is presented to them. Read, study and learn, the information is great, but use your critical thinking when applying your learning to your life and your world.

The fact that my major (Human Services Leadership) is very backed up so it is likely that I will be in school for at least 5 years.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the internet. I should be able to sit in my room without having to be connected to the ethernet chord and still be able to connect to the internet. Instead, when I was having problems with the internet they told me to go somewhere else besides my room to do my assignments. I had to go and buy a ethernet chord, and now it has to be connected to my computer at all times otherwise my internet will not work. I should be able to access it it within my room.

I really enjoy UW Oshkosh. The most frustrating thing about my school I guess could be that the dorms are gross. The rooms are very tiny and there is no space in a dorm to keep many belongings. Also, the bathrooms on each floor are disgusting. It's really difficult to live in such a confined space and to share a bathroom with several people who do not share the same hygenic standards as yourself.
