One of the biggest ways to get involved socially at WSU is to join a greek organization. I was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, and I consider it one of the best decisions I ever made. Becoming a member of the Greek Community allows you to meet many different types of people, get involved on campus, and give back to the community. Other ways to get involved are through club sports. I played on the club volleyball team and was able to travel to other universities and play volleyball at a very competative level. An important part of WSU culture is sporting events. Some of my favorite memories are from football and basketball games. Events like these bring students together to gt excited about a common goal.

Dylan

its a close knit family, and you see your friends almost every few seconds.

Harper

Being a member of the Greek community and finding great enjoyment from Cougar basketball games I always have something to do. I love being Greek and I love that there is an abundance of activities that anyone and everyone can participate in.

Andy

I like the greek community, there's always something to do! People party but they also know how to keep their grades in check!

There are many clubs and organizations on campus. I'm sure everybody could find atleast one thing they are intersted in. The social life here is amazing. I feel it is not hard to fit in if you are not apart of a sorority or fraternity. Althetics here is everything it seems. There is nothing better in the fall than those Saturday football games, and waiting in line hours to get a good seat at the basketball game. 24 hours a day 7 days a week you can find something to do around here whether it is greek row on a friday night or ordering pizza at 2 am on a week day. Students are always pulling all nighters and enjoying the night life. The atmosphere here is amazing.

Drinking is something you can do on any campus, and you will find people who want to go out on the weekends, but it's really not the only thing to do! There are theatre productions, free movies in the auditorium, classes at the Rec center, guest speakers...

I am involved in Greek Week Exec which means that I help to plan and put on Greek Week. I am also an officer in Colleges Against Cancer which is a new group starting up to put on the Pullman Relay for Life. Additionally, I am part of FreeRun WSU which is a tumbling club meeting 3 days a week. I've found that there are so many clubs to choose from that sometimes it is difficult to be able to do so and there are many leadership opportunities as well. I like to go to Nuthouse performances as they are usually quite funny. I am part of a sorority so that also has large impacts on my time. I have a leadership position within my chapter as well as attend other meetings and functions, all of which are completely dry.

There is a large Greek community, constituting around 13{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the population. Athletic events are a huge deal in Pullman. There is no single demographic not present at a football or basketball game. Concerts that come to Pullman are always sold out, and there are many bars and dance clubs available on weekends that students don't have big events to attend. Homecoming and Greek Week as well as Mom's and Dad's weekends are big social events for the entire community. People party a fair amount on the weekend, but there is also a couple movie theaters, a bowling alley, and a casino in town.

I love the clubs and organizations and sporting opportunities WSU has to offer and feel like they have really helped me network and really supported me in building my knowledge around my career interest. I love the programs such as theatre, guest speakers, concerts and multi-cultural opportunities the college has as well. My sorority has helped me mature and be accountable, as well as got me involved in community service, philanthropy and engaged in other campus opportunities.
