The best thing to do to get involved and be social is to "go greek" or joing a fraternity or sorority. They are the loudest at the games and do tons of social things. Athletic events in pullman are very popular and they are a must to survive. We look forward to games months before they even start. People party here a lot. You can almost always find a party any night of the week if you try really hard. Well, usually you can depending on the week and if its tough or not. It seems as though someone is always having a 21 run though.

The Greek system has a major influence on campus and intramural sports draw large participation. I’m apart of SIFE, Students in Free Enterprise, It is a really great club that gets students real life experience with entrepreneur endeavors. There are a host of clubs, people are really motivated about them at the beginning of the semester, but as work load increases interest in extracurricular activities decreases. The dating scene consists of short term flings and one night stands. If you don’t drink it might be a little hard to have fun Friday and Saturday night because so many people do drink and if you want to hang out but not drink no one will have a problem with that but you probably wont enjoy their drunkenness. But there is an on campus theater in one of the dorms and there are other outlets.

I am involved with RHA which is Residence Hall Association. Basically we all get together once a week and talk about different issues and programs going on around campus involving all the dorms. A lot of the people in my dorm leave their doors open and sometimes I do too but usually I am doing homework so its shut. 2am on Tuesday? Well usually im asleep but if not then I am probably up doing homework. Last weekend was amazing. I got to go home since it was a 3 day weekend. I got to see my mom and dad and eat dinner with my brother and his girlfriend. I love spending time with my family because we have so much fun. Saturday nights without drinking is not a problem. There are movies that people can go to or you could go to Zeppoz which is our bowling alley. There isnt all that much to do but hanging out with friends is the best way to go.

Going to the basketball games is probably one of my favorite things to do.

Athletic events in Pullman are what students live for. They are the only reason we make it alive through the cold winters here. Our football team is struggling, however, our basketball team is one of the best in the nation. GO COUGS!!! Also, our Student Entertainment Board (SEB) somehow pulls pretty big names into pullman. For example, the rapper Common, The Doobie Brothers, Taylor Swift, Ben Folds, Bill Cosby, and even Elton John. If you go to Pullman and are not a big fan of drinking, it is easy to find others who have the same beliefs. There isnt much to do so you have to get creative. I have done movie nights, gone bowling, gone to dances, or even gone to Zeppos which is a fun place to hang out at and you dont have to drink. Their are plenty of coffee shops in Pullman that stay open late so you can alway have a late coffee date with a friend.
