Big student body, yet school feels like a small local college instead of a University like Ohio State or Penn State. Feels more like a private school.

WVU is a big school with a hometown feel. West Virginia mixes the rural roots of the state with urban and suburban students from all over the nation. The greek system is not very respectable in my opinion, but everyone at the school has strong school spirit. In the fall football gameday is as big as it gets. Gold and blue can be seen anywhere you turn, and "Lets Go Mountaineers," echoes around the campus. There is a great downtown scene and you can meet a lot of great people here. It's a great place to be.
