HPSP covers full tuition for any accredited medical program, plus a generous monthly stipend of more than $2,400. There’s also a sign on bonus of $20,000 and an allowance for books. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. When you graduate, you must commit to active duty as a commissioned officer. Reading Hospital announced it will provide up to 10 full tuition scholarships for the incoming class of Surgical Technology students at Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RHSHS). If selected for the scholarship, students will be asked to commit to providing three years of Surgical Technology employment to Reading Hospital. Accepted students will receive a scholarship of approximately $17,800 to cover the tuition of the program. The student will be responsible to cover the program fees estimated at $2,500. In addition, the current class of four students were also provided a prorated two-year scholarship.
The Nursing Scholarship Program is for students in a practical nurse program (LPN) or a registered nurse (RN) program and who are accepted or enrolled a school of nursing in the State of Virginia. Scholarship recipients must agree to engage in full-time nursing in Virginia for one month for every $100 received. Presently, the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Health Equity offers several scholarship opportunities to help pay for nursing education.
