Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Pennsylvania.
  4. Must attend an eligible college or university in Pennsylvania.
  5. Must have received a Pennsylvania State Grant for the semester or quarter for which he/she has been nominated to receive a PATH Grant.
  6. Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student in the upcoming academic year.
  7. Must be enrolled at least half time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This grant is available for Pennsylvania students who are recipients of the Pennsylvania State Grant and attending an eligible Pennsylvania college or university. Students must be nominated by a participating PATH organization and must demonstrate financial need as determined by their institution.

Additional Information: Through the PATH (Partnerships for Access to Higher Education) Program, qualifying students who have already been awarded a scholarship or grant by one of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency PATH Partners may be eligible for additional grant money. Student must demonstrate financial need as determined by his/her institution.

Award Amount: Up to $2,500 annually, not automatically renewable. Eligible students may re-apply by completing a new FAFSA each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,418.

Detailed information on this program is available on the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) website. Students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Students must also be nominated by a participating PATH organization to be considered for the PATH grant. Interested students should contact a participating PHEAA PATH Partner in his/her area. A list of participating PATH organizations is available at the PHEAA website.
