U.S. students who are residents of Maine planning to enroll as college freshmen are eligible for this award.
Russ Casey Scholarship
This scholarship is available for Maine undergraduate students who plan to pursue a career in culinary arts or hospitality. Culinary arts students will be given first consideration.
Lawrence Alan Spiegel Remembrance Scholarship
Maine high school seniors are eligible to enter this essay contest. Students must submit an essay about remembrance of the Holocaust to enter.
Liberty Graphics Art Contest
Maine high school seniors are eligible to enter this art contest. Students must submit an art entry on the theme of ‘Art and Our Natural Environment’ in traditional two-dimensional media.
Maine Osteopathic Association Scholarship
This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are in their first year of study at an American Osteopathic Assocation-approved school of osteopathic medicine. Students must have been residents of Maine for three or more years prior to application (residence in Maine for the purpose of postsecondary education does not qualify).
Lamey-Wellehan Maine Difference Scholarship
This scholarship is available for high school seniors and students who have graduated from high school within the past four years who are Maine residents, graduate from a Maine high school, and plan to attend a Maine college. Students must have a desire to contribute to improving Maine’s ecology or economy.
Senator George J. Mitchell Scholarship
This scholarship is available for Maine high school seniors who have a history of community service.
GCFM Horticulture Scholarship
The GCFM Horticulture Scholarship is awarded to college juniors and seniors or graduate students who are legal residents of the State of Maine and not related to a GCFM Board Member. (College sophomores are eligible as they will be entering their junior year the following fall.) The Scholarship recipient is invited to attend the GCFM Annual Meeting and Awards luncheon at the State Convention held in June.
James V. Day Scholarship
This scholarship is available for Maine undergraduate and graduate students who are the children or grandchildren of a veteran who belongs to an American Legion post in Maine.
