This award is offered to current undergraduate and graduate students who are Maine residents and attending state-supported schools. Students must be the child, stepchild, spouse, widow or widower of a military veteran who is/has been deceased, disabled, MIA, or a POW while serving in the line of duty, and must be 16-25 years old with certain exceptions (there is no age requirement for spouses).

SPIE Student Scholarship
International and U.S. students who are high school seniors or older are eligible for this award. Students must be studying full time in the field of optics, photonics, imaging or optoelectronics or other related program.
Professional Engineers in Industry (PEI) Scholarship
This award is for U.S. undergraduate or graduate students who are pursuing an engineering degree.
National Honor Society Scholarship
High school seniors who are members of the National Honor Society and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must be nominated by active chapter advisers.
Foreign Service High School Essay Contest
Students whose parents are not in the Foreign Service are eligible to participate if they are in grades nine through twelve in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. territories, or if they are U.S. citizens/lawful permanent residents attending high school overseas. Students may be attending a public, private, or parochial school. Entries from home-schooled students are also accepted.
Professional Engineers in Government (PEG) Management Study Fellowship
This award is for U.S. graduate students who are pursuing a master’s degree in engineering.
Steinman Scholarship Award
This award is for U.S. students who are entering their junior year of an engineering program.
University of Maine Mid Coast Alumni Textbook Scholarship
This scholarship is available to help pay for the textbooks of U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend the University of Maine at Orono. Students must be graduates of a Mid Coast Maine high school, and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Town of Moscow Scholarship
This scholarship is for U.S. students who are residents of Moscow, Maine. Students may apply at any time during their senior year of high school, and must apply no later than one year after high school graduation.
University of Maine William Bingham, 2nd Scholarship
This scholarship is available for current undergraduate students attending the University of Maine. Students must be residents of Bethel Maine, or the county of Oxford in Maine.
