Basil L. King Scholarship Fund – Medical and Dental Scholarship
Residents of St. Lucie County in Florida who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited school of medicine or dentistry are eligible for this award. Students must enroll full time and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Basil L. King Scholarship Fund – Two- and Four-Year Award
Residents of St. Lucie County in Florida who are high school seniors or current undergraduate students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must enroll full time in a health science program.
Communications Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Students who are in grade 12 and below in the United States, in CEGEP or below in Quebec, Canada, or in grade 13 or below in the Caribbean are eligible to enter this speech/sign language contest. Students must have a hearing loss of 40 decibels or more to qualify.
Optimist International Oratorical Contest
Students who are under the age of 16 as of Dec. 31 of the current school year and are educated in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean are eligible to enter this contest. Students do not have to be members of an Optimist Club to enter; however, they must be sponsored by a local club.
Optimist International Essay Contest
Students who are under the age of 19 as of Dec. 31 are eligible to enter this essay contest. Students must enter through a local Optimist Club, which are located in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Click here to learn more and apply today!
Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarship
This award is available to North Carolina high school seniors who are planning to enroll full time at North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Awards are based on financial need, merit, leadership, and character. Scholars can receive additional funding to study abroad.
North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association Undergraduate Criminal Justice Scholarship
This award is available for North Carolina students who are enrolled full time at an eligible state institution. The student must be an undergraduate majoring in criminal justice and demonstrate financial need.
University of North Carolina Need-Based Grant
This award is available to North Carolina high school seniors who plan to attend one of the 16 constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina. Students must demonstrate financial need.
NC Jagannathan Scholarship
This award is available to North Carolina high school seniors who are planning to attend one of the constituent institutions of The University of North Carolina. Students must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and financial need.
