This award is available to North Carolina high school seniors who are planning to enroll full time at North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Awards are based on financial need, merit, leadership, and character. Scholars can receive additional funding to study abroad.

This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are residents of West Virginia. Elizabeth Underwood Scholarship Fund
This award is for a U.S. graduating high school senior from Riverside High School in West Virginia. The applicant must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and an ACT score of 20 or higher.
Kenneth & Mildred Ward Scholarship Fund
This award is for a U.S. high school senior or older at Clay High School in West Virginia. The applicant must pursue a degree in the field of engineering, sciences, or mathematics at a university in West Virginia. The applicant must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and an ACT score of 20.
