David H. Clift Scholarship

Vocational (Bettinger, Holden, & Perry) Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. and Canadian students who are enrolled in a one- or two-year program with the intent to become a grower or greenhouse manager. Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher; applicants with lower grade point averages may be considered if they have otherwise outstanding qualifications or extenuating circumstances.
Seed Companies Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. and Canadian undergraduate juniors and seniors and graduate students who have a career goal within the seed industry. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
ALA Century Scholarship
Current undergraduate U.S. or Canadian citizens who have disabilities are eligible for this award. Students must pursue a master’s degree in library science at an ALA-accredited institution. The ALA provides more than $300,000 annually for study in a master’s degree in library and information studies from an ALA accredited program.
Harold Bettinger Memorial Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. and Canadian students who are majoring or minoring in business or marketing with the intent to apply their education to a horticulture-related career business. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
Lawrence ‘Bud’ Ohlman Memorial Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. and Canadian undergraduate and graduate students who have the career goal to become a bedding plant grower for an established business. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
Eagle Scout of the Year Award
U.S. high school students who are 15 years or older and have been awarded the Eagle Scout Award are eligible for this award. Students must be a registered, active member of a Boy Scout Troop or related group.
Ball Horticultural Company Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. and Canadian college juniors and seniors who are planning a career in commercial floriculture. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher; applicants with lower grade point averages may be considered if they have otherwise outstanding qualifications or extenuating circumstances.
Children of Warriors National President Scholarship
U.S. students who are current high school seniors and have completed 50 or more hours of community service during high school are eligible for this award. Students must be the sons or daughters of veterans who served in the armed forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.
