The contest is open to students age 12-18 at some point during the contest period (September 1, 2020-March 8, 2021). No more than one submission will be accepted for each essay writer. Writers must be located in North America or Hawaii, and all submissions should be in English.

Applicants must demonstrate they have been accepted into an accredited institution and are working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in the strength and conditioning field. Awards in the amount of $2,000 are granted and are to be applied toward tuition charges accrued by the student.
