United Italian American Inc. Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Rhode Island students who are or will be attending a two- or four-year postsecondary educational institution. Students must demonstrate: superior academic achievement; financial need; and leadership in their school and/or community.
Alan Edgar Wurdeman Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is available for Rhode Island students who are pursuing LPN and RN degree programs at a Rhode Island institution or Northeastern University School of Nursing. Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Preference is given to students who are committed to staying in Rhode Island after graduation.
Willard and Marjorie Scheibe Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Rhode Island students pursuing LPN, RN, or advanced nursing degrees. Students must demonstrate financial need.
Miss Swinburne Scholarship
This scholarship is open to female residents of Newport County, Rhode Island, who are pursuing postsecondary education and have financial need. Preference is given to highly motivated women seeking further education or training to become self-supporting.
Frances L. Macartney Porter Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is available for Rhode Island single parents who are pursuing postsecondary education. Preference is given to individuals enrolled in trade schools.
Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is open to licensed RNs who are seeking baccalaureate or graduate nursing degrees in Rhode Island and students enrolled in a baccalaureate nursing program in Rhode Island. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Major Jeremiah P. Murphy Scholarship
This scholarship is open to children of active, retired, or deceased Providence (RI) police officers who are or will be attending postsecondary institutions offering two-year associate’s or four-year college degree.
Bernard and Henrietta O’Rourke Scholarship
This scholarship is open to residents of Lincoln, Rhode Island, who are or will be pursuing undergraduate or graduate study. Students must demonstrate financial need.
Jim and Margie Fegley Orchestral String Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors and undergraduate students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Science in Music degree, or a music certificate (specifically in orchestral strings). Students must have been actively involved in his/her high school or college music program or a program outside of school, and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
