My school is best known for the diversit in it's students. There are numerous types of individuals that come here from different backgrounds and cultures. They also come from different walks of life and types of economic classes. It is so great that my school is one that can accept and promote such differences and are accomodating to different learning styles as well as different wants in their life and careers. They are all brought together with the help of the faculty and staff that we have here at American River College.

My school is best known for a large variety in ethnic and very foreign cultures! It's incredibly enlightening to work together with people of all different backgrounds, and to be exposed to ideas that have never crossed the path of my thought process before. American River College, (being a junior college) is a path wise to take. Transfering with a sprawl of fantastic studies before entering the "big leagues" puts most graduates at a large advantage!

I believe our school is best known for it's nursing program. American River has the best nursing program in the area, providing students the readiness to become Registered Nurses. American River is also known as the community college students attend before Sacramento State.
