What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The first thing I would tell myself is to add a math class to my senior schedual instead of a open period. Then I would sit down and have a long talk with myself telling the passed me what happens in the next 5 years and ofcourse if were being honest winning lotto numbers. Giving mysef all the information needed to suceed or repeat the same mistakes knowing myself back then i would do al ittle of both. No matter what i would say or advise to myself in my senior year everything will turn out the way it is suppose to in the end.
I like where I am at in my life right now as a whole and the decision's I have made and the hardwork and dedicaton i put into serving my country in the Marine corps and the now hard work of serving myself and family by being the first person in this famly for 3 generations to go to college.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst part about my school is how close it is to the high school. The transition must seem so easy at first to so many students, but half of the students in my Early Childhood Education class stopped coming or dropped out before the deadline because they thought this class would be like the ones they took in high school and they simply were not prepared. It takes dedication, passion, and intelligence to pass college courses.

What kind of person should attend this school?
Almost any kind of person would benefit from going to my schoool. People with an idea of what they want to do with their life would benefit the most and even people lost or struggling with their future could find a certain focus by attending lectures and associating with other students going through the same thing. The kind of person who can show up on time and not rush home when class is over, someone who wants to dive into the entire experience ARC has to offer would improve their lives now in the present and opportunities for their future.

What's unique about your campus?
The best thing about my school is that I am able to get a good lower-level education for a fraction of the price of a four year school. I really enjoy being able to get all my general education requirements out of the way, without having to worry about cost. American River College has allowed me to focus on my transfer goals and given me a chance to broaden my horizons by offering a wide variety of less expensive classes.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
American River College has a very broad range of courses to ensure the maximum amount of education. Even with the massive student population, the professors still manage to be personal and helpful. With extracuricular activities, such as sports teams, I've made life-long friendships with the players and staff. The campus could be a little overwhelming at first, but the ARC community surely is warming. Of course, the American River mascot is truly a unique one in itself. Who wouldn't want to be an American River Beaver?

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about school is having to cope with a new environment. Especially, since it is my first year in college, I am paranoid about getting lost on my way to classes, constantly wondering if the professors will like me or even remember my name, worrying about the upcoming tests, midterms and finals. School is fun if you are focused and have your mind set on what you want to major in but it is not the best place to be if you are unsure. The asbolute frustrating thing about school is having to study all the time.
