I brag about how convienient it is to be going to a community college as opposed to a university. I think it is a very smart idea to start off going to a community college financially as well as the flexibility. One can start off going to a community college and get a taste of how college is like before going to a 4 year college. Also it is very simple to transfer to a 4 year university once the general education classes are done.

I really enjoy the aestetics of the school. It seems to me that American River College, though in a busy neighborhood, has a great studying atmosphere. The combination of great landscaping and the unique array of areas to study make all the difference.

I honestly do not brag about my school, but some of the positive aspect of it are that they give you a second or even third chance if you need it. When you are going through a difficult time, or an unexpected tragedy occurs they do not throw you out of the school for good.

Erin

About how beautiful the campus is and how much cheaper it is compared to their four year universities

That of all things, American River college is very cost efficient. After having an opportunity to go to other schools, a very hug problem for college students is rather or not they can financially afford to go to college. For someone from a low income family, American River College makes it possible for them to still have a chance to achieve higher education that elsewise may not have been possible.
