Describe the students at Auburn University.

Whitney

I feel like any student that comes to Auburn would fit in. From my point of view, there are no racial, religious, etc. problems on are campus. Of course many people believe in different things here, but nobody declares it in a way that would offend another person. Students come from everywhere, but all seem to mesh well as a student body.

Allison

Conservative and traditional

Dean

I think there is a place for everyone at Auburn.

Amelia

I would say that any student who doesn't fit the ''conservative'' type of personality would feel very out of place. I feel like the group of kids who aren't involved in greek life or sports and that act crazy when they go out would be the most out of place. Most girls wear gym shorts, jeans, or sweatpants with t shirts and guys tend to wear khakis or jeans with tshirts and polos. I don't really see that many different kind of students interacting... Everyone just tends to stay with their own groups of friends. The financial backgrounds are very different because there are so many out of state kids who are paying almost 3 times as much as in state. I would say that students are very politically aware and active and they are mostly on the right side.

Most students wear casual clothes to class but most stay within their own groups of friends and people.. Most students are from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee. Most people are in between middle class and upper middle class. Students are more politically conservative.

Elizabeth

there are alot of groups on campus there is something for everyone and if there is not then you are able to start one up. no student will be out of place there is something for everyone. students are from everywhere. mostly from the south though.

Alysen

I have never felt out of place in Auburn because I quickly found my own niche. By looking at the students here, Auburn is mostly white kids, so if that bothers people they might not feel comfortable. Most students usually wear whatever is comfortable to class, and that usually means t-shirts, jeans, and flip-flops. Most students are from Alabama or the Atlanta area. The kids from Alabama are from all types of financial backgrounds. And the kids from Atlanta are usually middle-upper class or higher, they have to be able to afford the out of state tuition. Political views are mostly conservative, but I have many friends who are liberal and I have no problem with that. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and views.

Courtney

Auburn's student body is very friendly. Most students wear Tshirts and jeans or shorts to class. Most Auburn students are from either Georgia or Alabama.

Natalie

Pretty religious student body. A lot of students are involved in Impact, Younglife, etc. Also a very conservative student body. It is a southern school so majority of the students are very republican and supportive of conservative views. We are pretty big on greek life. You will see a lot of students wearing a sorority or fraternity t-shirt to class. Everyone is very casual during the day but at night we dress up to go out. Auburn has very attractive, well-mannered kids. Most students are from Alabama or Georgia with the rest of the majority coming from Tennessee and Florida. Alot of students drive nice cars, wear nice clothes, etc. It is obviously because of how they were raised. They don't tend to flash it around though, I think most students are pretty modest.

Auburn's student body is a close family. We are all there for each other and help each other no matter their race, religion or financial staus. When i came to Auburn I immediately had a whole new family(the student body).
