I don't really feel like the social environment is very "college-like" but the academics makes up for the lack of social opportunities. I am a transfer student so my views on social opportunities is very different from that of a freshman because the school has many extra "freshman only" social programs.

It is a school for people who are goal oriented and aren't afraid of a good amount of work. It is worth it in the end-you learn a lot, provides a variety of teaching strategies, provides communication and feedback from teachers, and can develop friends in any setting on campus!

Aurora University is a very diversified school with students from many different races and nationalities. We have students that come from all parts of the USA and who are studying many different curriculums. I would say that the kind of person that should attend AU would be someone who likes to be involved with both academics and athlectics. We have so many sports and activities on campus that you would be hard pressed to find nothing to do with your spare time.
