If you don't get to know the students at Babson you might get that impression but overall everyone is nice. The community is actually quite tight knit.

There are absolutley wealthy kids on this campus, but that is not to say that everyone is. This is a diverse campus with students from all over the world and from all very different families

Partially. Babson is definitely for smart business students. Monday through Thursday afternoon, its all business. There are not classes on Fridays so our weekends start Thursday night. Most of the students DO go out and it's a lot of fun. I have not been home for a whole weekend at all during my freshman year and I only live an hour away.

Not everyone here is obssessed with business, but clearly it is important and it is discussed all over the place. There are a lot of rich kids with really nice cars, but Babson offers pretty good financial aid so it is still very diverse. Freshman year is a lot of work, but it gets easier with each semester, and everyone develops good time management skills.

Not all of them. A lot of students are interested in business but all have plenty of extra-curriculars that are not business related. Babson has very few business related clubs or organizations. The Babson curriculum is designed to be half liberal arts and half management courses throughout your carreer at Babson to ensure you are well rounded. Not all Babson students are finance majors, most do not choose to concentrate in anything and some are concentrating in liberal art type of study. Babson has an affluent population at Babson but it is mostly seen in the international students. There are plenty of kids here who do not drive Audi, BMW's, Lexis etc. There is a population but it doesn't really matter to anyone. Student Government association and campus life has been really pushing campus activities this year and there are plenty of things to do on the weekend if you aren't in boston and stay on campus. The campus population is small so you are interacting with the same type of kids all the time which may get redundant but we can't blame the social scene on campus life because they have provided plenty of activities to do on the weekends. The course load is manageable but it is not easy. and the grades are something to get used to. Receiving an A in a class is a rarity. Stick to B's and you'll be okay.

The student body is on a whole middle/upperclass, though the school does many full- and partial-scholarships, as well as participate in the POSSE program. There are also a great deal of students with there own businesses, or who view education as a tool to utilize to get a high-paying job. At the same time, there is a population (myself included) who take or are planning to take liberal arts courses exclusively, want all of the business requirements are met.

Welllllllll....sometimes.
Babson is a school that is very focused on business - but there are a lot of extracurricular activities to do. Babson offers a great business curriculum, as well as a good liberal arts education. You'd be surprised to hear about the interesting speakers (business and non-business) that give presentations, as well as the other "liberal-artsy" stuff that goes on. The motto here is work hard, play hard. After spring break, there are "SODA's" (Seniors Out Drinking Again) EVERY night, each taking place at a different suite.
Babson students look all the same from the outside - we look rich, elitist, and snobby. That's partially true. The are some snobs, but it's because they're smart and come from a WASP family - in other words, they have reason to be snobs. The rest of Babson students are fun-loving, hard-working people that are accepting, friendly, and bright.

For the most part
