Bowie State University is best known for the historic education of African-American during the year of 1865. Its known to give young African-American and other ethnic race to recieve equall eduaction and to provide education for bright future in any career goal. They try to build a leadership and understanding to strive for excellence. This is what I believe Bowie State University is best known for.

Academics and how hard and eager our students are.

My school is best know for being a "Ghetto School." The majority of the students who attend here are from neighborhood cities such as D.C. and Baltimore. Many people feel that this school isnt about education, but they are. BSU works hard at helping its students to become career oriented and also to help them better themselves as indivduals as well as business men and women.

Computer science and business departments

Probably for being the first historically black college/university (aka HBCU) in Maryland, and for the school's strong school spirit. They're also probably known for being very inexpensive; this is why myself and many other students chose to attend.

Bowie State University is best known for their academics, computer, and business programs. Also, the football team is known to be really good.
