Brigham Young University-Idaho is an amazing school! It is a private school filled with students mostly from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints, other wise known as Mormons. The University is small compared to most Universities, but is just right for me. One of the Stereotypes of this school is it's nickname, BYU-"I-do". Mormons get married at a young age and so comparatively speaking it probably has a high marriage rate than most colleges. But overall the teachers are great, the staff is amazing, and the classroom sizes are small. The only complaint I can think of is that the town is small, so it can be difficult to find a job.

I can't imagine a better school, especially for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There's a special spirit here: the people--students and faculty--are friendly and students are taught not only how to excel in their desired professions, but also how to succeed in life.

I love BYU-I! There are so many people there that share the same standards and morals as me which makes college life a lot easier. The teachers are professional but they also want each student to be comfortable and to learn. They care about each student and do their best to make sure everyone is having a great learning experience. There is also so many fun activities going on at BYU-I, from theme dances to concerts to marathons, there is something for everyone to get involved. There is no where else I would want to go to college!

I feel that because of the tuition help with Church tithing, the price is great, but the options for desired programs is limited and applications within those desired programs are overly difficult to get into.

The environment is friendly. The students are motivated and ambitious. The class room size is small which makes the learning environment more personal. It's not the most open minded place. I wish more types of thinking and living were accepted.

The envioirnment is amazing, classmates and teachers are caring and very kind. Lots of oportunities to build up a good résumé for your career. The program that I am in right now is amazing and prepares me for real life experience.

Brigham Young University - Idaho is a school with a very special approach to teaching. Here, they teach students the importance of critical thinking skills, and how to apply these in a real world situation. The school focuses on the fact that students are prepared to think for themselves and how to resolve problems, and I am currently enjoying the process of this learning, and I feel that it is This school is smaller, but is the size that I prefer in a school environment, and many people react with enthusiasm when they hear that I come here to this school. The most frequent complaints are only about the vending machines and that there are not enough that accept cash, but other than that, the atmosphere is great.

I like this university. It has a unique atmosphere. As a private college it is very focused on helping students achieve not only success, but greatness. It puts students and their needs first. However, unlike many other private colleges it is even more affordable than many state universities.

BYU-I is a school that's been undergoing a lot of change over the course of the past 10 years. Ever since President Bednar changed it from 2- year Ricks College to 4-year BYU-Idaho it has been, in the words of one of my professors, "an airplane under construction mid-flight." The professors are still experimenting with formats for classes and majors. In addition to this the campus and student body are growing quickly, with new apartment complexes popping up everywhere and a gigantic 15,000 seat auditorium dedicated just this winter. Despite all the growth and change however, the administration still desires to maintain the old spirit of Ricks: an atmosphere of compassion, friendliness and service. These next few years will be years of excitement, growth and turbulence for BYU-Idaho as it's torn between maintaining its past and building its future. I just hope it finds the proper balance.
