Central Michigan University Top Questions

Is the stereotype of students at Central Michigan University accurate?

Vicki

Some yes, for example; we are kind of located in the middle of nowhere, there are lots of parties held whether it is by a fraternity or by friends there is always a party to go to.

Whitney

Yes, to me these stereotypes are accurate. It's not a big town compared to where I'm from (the Detroit area) and all people, at least the people I am friends with, do for fun and on weekends is drink.

Shelby

yes

Lauren

I think students that attend CMU are just as intelligent as those at U of M or MSU. In college, there are those students that chose to drink, and those that don't, I don't think it is any more so at CMU than any other college.

Bryanna

Partying, yes. Student quality, not necessarily. Although MSU and U of M are more selective, many students who could very well be high performers at these institutions choose a smaller, more personal university, such as Central.
