The most defining characteristic of Colorado Christian University which sets it apart from other schools is its impenetrable sense of community. From campus to classroom, this school is filled with people who truly care about one another. Relationships here are genuine and not taken at face value. The professors cherish their students and seek to know them more personally than just names on a roster or faces in a crowd. Furthermore, there is a dedication at this school to take the compassion that engulfs the campus grounds and bring it into the city. We serve others to change lives.

CCU is a conservative Christian University. This, however, does not mean that we are closed minded to other points of view and opinions. In fact, CCU is very balanced in their teaching of all cultural, religious, and ethical perspectives. However, it is a Christian University, and one must be a born-again Christian to attend.

The community is unreal! You have so many opportunities to do what you love, make great friends, and give soooo much back to your community. The professors invest in you more than any other school. It is pricy, but worth every dime.

The most unique feature of Colorado Christian University is its living community. All housing on campus is apartment style which allows for a more relaxed, comfortable, and familiar setting in which people can get to know one another and do activities in the apartments. This housing format also forces deeper bonds with three or five other people rather than just one other person. Having more roommates encouraged more activities, meeting more people, and more development of interpersonal skills. This unique housing situation set me up for success in life with people, in ways a dorm setting would not

My school's professors legitimately care about their students. Each class helps individuals learn in a way that prevents stress. The students are friendly are willing to take an interest in your life. At my school life long friends are made.

CCU's profs are genuinely interested in their students and go above and beyond to build friendships with their students. Although CCU is a private Christian university, the faculty/staff come from various backgrounds and denominations, which allows the students to observe diverse perspectives, beliefs, and ways of living. CCU has numerous student led clubs, organizations, and ministries that get everyone involved with the comminty outisde of campus. CCU has its cons like any univeristy, but is a great place to grow academically, spiritually, and otherwise.
