I believe that the most valuable part of my college experience was learning about new cultures and schools of thought. I believe that the deeper understanding of human nature, social conditions and cultures, and my own personal limitations gave me the basis for accomplishing things I initially believed were beyond my reach. My college experience taught me that every individual can make a difference, for better or for worse, and that choosing not to participate is still a conscious decision. Social development and betterment is everyone’s' responsibility, and investing in your community builds a more cohesive and functional society. The social issues we face today do not necessarily affect everyone at this point, but failure to act on them as a society will eventually lead to a polarization of socio-economic classes. Higher education is a huge part of empowering individuals to take action, not only to change their circumstances but also to get involved in bigger issues by investing in their communities. Invested individuals are empowered individuals and are the glue that hold neighborhoods, communities and societies together. They fight ignorance and intolerance and serve as examples and role models to future generations.

Well I have to say that since I have been going to school on line I foun d that I enjoy the online experience, it gives me the statifaction that I can complete an assignment and that once I have completed it I know that I did a good job and I am proud of what I have accomplished. In going to school online I found that I have met many different people and they have taught me different ways of thinking about a question or a project that we were working on in class, Each person had a different way of taking that question and giving an answer that best fit the question at hand. Learning from different people and there wayts of thinking has broaded my horizion on learning and I hope that I will be able to continue in the future so that I can have the goal that I have set out to achive for me and my family. Colorado Technical University Online is one of the best schools that I have atttended that I have learned a great deal from them and I hope that I can in the furtue. Online schooling is excellent

Starting college was a big step for me to accomplish my dreams of owning a spa. Fortunately I have an amazing advisor to assist me thru the process. CTU has been valuable to attend because the online school helps me have a balanced life as I earn my business degree. As I move on through the courses assigned to me, I will be better educated and the value of a better education is priceless. After I graduate from the university my income will raise and I will be that much closer to making my dreams a reality.

Valuable experience is exactly what I have received from attending college. I have waited for twenty years to go back and finish up my bachelors degree. I am fifty four years old and I had to quit my job to go back. My husband is the sole provider now.
I have learned more about economics and I thought I had a great grasp in this field. Business systems and the essentials of orgainzational behaviors. I had no idea these kinds of learning classes were available and how important they are to management and companies. Learning is so important to me as well as the degree to go with it. I am looking for a degree that can take me anywhere and Accounting is something I think will be my answer. With todays job market one has a choice but to attend school to make oneself valuable and desireable in the market.
But on the selfish side of the answer: I just wanted to go back to school for myself before I started collecting Social Security. I wanted to be able to say I have a Bachelors degree.

I have gotten a great deal of knowledge. Made a great deal of friends. Being a shy person, being around people of the same feather really does help to learn and grow in todays world. How to become a team leader when I didn't think I had it in me. It taught me how to study and really get the job done. If I failed I was able to talk to a teacher or just keep working on the problem till I found a solution. I may not be the best student ever but I love to meet new people solve problems and help them solved their problems too.

I am a returning student after 23 years. And what I have discovered is that the information from the classes I had taken previously were never lost. I have integrated everything I have learned into my career and into writing books. And now that I am ready to take my career to the next level, I see how important it is to have an education and to act on it. Without a foundation from education, there is a cap on what I can achieve and the impact I can make in the world. My college experience has given me a foundation for my life from many different perspectives, historically, mathmatically, philosophically, psychologically and given me models for creating systems and structures that will support long term success. My experience of learning is so different now, because rather than just trying to get a paper saying that I have completed something that my parents wanted me to do, I am going to school for myself, for the thirst of knowledge and how I can utilize what I have learned to benefit others.

It has taken me 27 years to complete my bachelors degree. With the detours that life threw my way as well as starting a family, completing my degree took a backseat. When my children became self-sufficient, I returned and finished my bachelors degree in March of 2010. Now, I am moving forward at Colorado Tech University with an online Masters program beginning in August of 2010. My educational experience has been a long and bumpy one, but the important thing is is that I finished. I am looking forward to completing my Masters in the the field of criminal justice, a field that I have worked in most of my adult life to better my skills, knowledge and salary. I want to show my children that no matter what life throws your way, you should always finish what you start and do not let anyone or anything stand in the way of your dreams and goals.

By going back to school as an older person has been very rewarding. I did not believe in myself when I was younger and my parents never talked to me about going to college. I learned at later years in my life that a good educaction was very important in life. This school has made it easy and they were very helpful in me getting started in college at my age. The value of my education will last a life time and will reward me for as long as I live and then some due to me being able to talk to my sons about how important a good education is to being happy and successful.

I actually start classes in two days. I did just complete the schools workshop. I did get alot of useful imformation for using the schools website over my course of study. Since I'm just starting I 'll express what I hope to get out of my college experience. I am a single mom that just got out of an abusive relationship. I feel that this is a new start for me. I am currently a cashier and am wanting to get out of the "dead end job". I didn't graduate High School. I do have my GED. I don't want my daughter saying in a few years,"You quit school . Why can't I ?" I want her to know how important an education is.
So, in close, I hope to not only gain the skills to shine in the Health Care field , but to reach some personal goals. Thankyou for your consideration.
