The small classes, the excellent professors, the honor code, the stunningly beautiful campus, the proximity to NYC and Boston, the beach being only 15 minutes away, the career advancement office and the CELS stipend (students who complete a few night classes a year and the proper paperwork are eligible for a $3000 stipend the summer after their junior year for completing an unpaid internship), the arboretum, the sexual assualt and violence awareness campaigns on campus, and the college history (originally a women's college).

When I first arrived at Conn, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. Most of my relatives had gone to 2-year colleges or had commuted, but I was the first to live away from home and fully engage myself in the "college experience." I am so grateful to have made that decision over three years ago because this school is perfect for me.

How accessible the professors are and how much research can be done while in school.

Connecticut College is a great place, I highly recommend it.

Connecticut College is the only school that has an environmental chemistry major! We also have a specialized program called CELS that will award you 3,000 dollars to complete a summer internshi of your choice between junior and senior year. We are the only college or unversity in the world with the camel as the mascot.
Melissa
Our funded internship program. Our school sets aside 3000$ for each student that desires to do an internship following their junior year. This program is available to everyone and helps students explore a career area of interest they may not be able to otherwise.

small size, nice campus, Chinese language availability and quality
Rita

We have an awesome arboretum.

New London is a terrible college town, and its citizens don't really hold high opinions of us either. This negative opinion is probably due to a lot of different factors, but we certainly don't see any outstanding attractions that New London offers either. All-in-all though, Conn is an excellent place to get an education and still have fun while doing it (imagine that!).

The campus itself is absolutely beautiful, that needs to be expressed. It´s filled with trees and flowers, and the Green is really pretty. Plus, across the street we have an arboretum which is huge and great for walks and laying out in the sun.

I've loved my time here- what makes this school great is the students. They are genuine, amiable, and love this community. We all bitch about the costs which are ridiculous, but w/e, college is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor- spend a night here. I can guarantee you that you'll feel the good vibe.

I wouldn't have picked anywhere else to go, my time at Conn was amazing!

Conn offers anything and everything. If it doesnt offer something, they are more than willing to shell out some money to get your club or idea going. However, everything you do at Conn requires initiative and without it you will find your time (and monumentous tuition bill) wasted.
