If I could go back in time I would warn myself to be prepared for the more independent life that awaits in college. No one in college is there to hold your hand like they do in high school. The work is more difficult ofcourse but if I applied myself then it wouldn't be that difficult. Also to do all the work given to me in a timely manner because college is based on a time schedule where everything has a due date. I would tell myself to ask questions more so I wont be confused.

If i was to go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior i would tell myself a lot of things to make me reason and to take control. On of the main things that i would say would be to focus on my education. The reason why i would say that, is because in life you need an education to be successful and be proud to say that you are somebody in life. Another thing that i would tell myself is to take a look at my mother and see how much she has worked and suffered for us to have a better life. Now i have realized the importance of focusing in school and getting a career. I would ask and tell myself if i just want a job that i dont like going to or do i want a career and work in something that i really enjoy doing. Making a transition to a college is making a transition to a better life with a career.

if i had the opportunity to go back in time to talk to myself as a highschool senior i would tell myself that in college you will change as a person. College allows you to develop into the type of person you really are and the person you want to be in the future.Nobody judges you and in highschool dont worry too much about what other people think of you, just have fun and be who you are because the friends who stick by you since highschool through college are your real friends and the ones who judged you wont be around anymore. And at that point being somebody who you aren't is bad because you'll only be lying to yourself about who you really are.

I would know not to attend a private college and that community college is just as good, there is no point to pay alot

The advice I would give to myself on college life is to develop relationships and make more friends. Most of the time I have been relying on myself for the work. I keep believing that there's no one out there possibly is going to help me.
Another advice is that I should have better communication with my professors in addressing my concerns since they are the key to my success academically.
Last, I would tell myself that there is no need to be anxious about my future and succcess. Achieving success involves many trials and overcoming many failures.

When I was a highschool senior I was worried that I was unprepared for the college workload. If I could go and have a sit-down conversation with my senior year self I would remind myself of all the hard work I did in highschool and prove to myself that I was ready for college. I would make sure to bring my official highschool transcript and my first semester college grades as proof. I would tell myself to focus on time-management. By this point, in senior year, I would be unaware of the fact that I would have a part-time job in college so I would warn myself that time-management will be important for that reason as well. In my senior year one of my concerns was making new friends and keeping my old ones from highschool. I would tell my high school self that the friends that truly care will stick around and that the other freshman in college feel the same insecurity about making new friends. I would also advise myself to speak up more, to ask more questions and to feel comfortable about it. Lastly, I would say good luck and don't worry.

I would recommend myself to apply for many scholarships because college is very expensive for me right now. To take that opportunity because it affects you academically and emotional. It would help me with my education career because I have a bad economic situation since am not working.

I would tell myself to get ready and brace myself to be more social. College is a place that you need to make friends and you need people to help you along with each class. College is stressful and is fulled with uphill struggles. I would also tell myself to break out of my shell, tone down being so timid and be open to making new friends. The friends that you had in high school are no longer there with you because they go to other schools and I think I took for granted how important it is to have friends to encourage and support you. I would tell myself that college can get really lonely if you?re not open to meeting new people. It is important to be serious and focused about academics but college is a big step and you want people around you to share the experience. I would also tell myself to be more outgoing and join clubs to make college life easier.

Make sure you study and keep your grades up!

As an adult student re-entering college life, I would have only one thing to say .
I would tell myself that a career is not about what money you are able to make in any chosen profession, nor is it about acquiring prestige.
The only way to have a fulfilling and joyful life, which our chosen career is a large part of, is to offer the best part of ourselves to the world.
The career that makes us feel satisfaction at the end of the day...the one that makes us feel as if we can make a difference in our world...is the path we should always choose.

If I were able to speak to my high school self, I would tell myself to go in like you did at birth, head first and head strong. I would advise myself to not get discouraged because life is full of lessons that will come to me like roller coasters or a straight shot to the heart. But regardless of the little or big obstacles, keep in mind of what you want, where you want to be, and who you are because your college life is what you will make of it and it will probably be the biggest stepping stone to the next part of your life. I would tell myself that college life is not the beginning of the end but instead it is the beginning of your life as an adult. Be aware of your choices, they will take you higher or take you down like a ton a bricks dropped in the ocean.

I would advise myself not to wait so long to do it. That life passes by so quickly and a good education is a wonderful tool in leading the life you want. Enjoy, it, work hard and make it all count. Brooklyn has so many counselors, student peers and groups that are there specifically to make the transition from school to college as seemless as possible, take advantage of them. You'll feel less stressed and overwhelmed and meet a great group of people as well.

I would tell myself that ,I working hard is what pays off. staying focus is what helps you overcome challenges. but most of all, knowing the why your going to school because it leads to your purpose.

I would tell myself to be open-minded in college and take advantage of the various classes that are offered. I would also make use of all the resources around me to find internship and volunteering opportunities. Another important thing is not to be shy and meet new people who have similar interests as you and those who are interested in different areas of study too. Although many people think of college as a time of freedom and parties, getting a good education developing effective study habits will get you further than drinking and parties. It is ok to have fun, but your career is essential.

I would tell myself that college is not for right for everybody to go to immediately after high school. A person in their late teens is in a tricky position, because they are technically an adult and might think they are an adult, but they're still as vulnerable and subject to peer pressure and manipulation as ever. It's this state that makes the transition into college- especially for students who live on a campus- more difficult than you would imagine. That's why it's important to look deep inside yourself and ask if you're trully ready, if this is really what you want, and are there any other options? If you're main reason for going to college is not to become educated, than you should not go because you will most likely become a corrupt individual who can only and falsely associate happiness with excess and caricatures of fun. It might be best to wait until you have matured and can understand and appreciate the purpose of college- knowledge and positive societal contributions.

If i could go back in time and speak to myself as a high school senior I would say many things. However, most importantly I would let myself know that college was not going to be just another level of school that I had to do. Rather it was a chance of a lifetime to make changes, become more open-minded and prepare myself for the world. I would let myself know that I should pay even more attention in my last high school classes so that I would have a better foundation for college classes. I would also let myself know that college was not going to be as scary as i thought it would be considering there was no one in my family who could warn of this since they would not know. Overall I would let my highschool self that this was going to be the best thing that could ever happen to me.
