It’s really small, too small for some, but also really great because you know everyone. And when you meet people outside of Davidson that went or go to Davidson, there is a special connection. I think that part of the reason it’s not very Greek is because Davidson is like one big frat. And our hazing consists of way to much work, our comradery is built around the common bond of lack of sleep and stress, and our network outside of Davidson is alumni. And alum will hook you up. And on the weekends, we still get down. But all of our parties are open to the whole school because let’s be honest, there is only 1,700 of us. Davidson in the end is one community. Small and claustrophobic at times, but comforting at others.

davidson is home. now it's earning some national recognition for basketball; previously, we were primarily recognized in academic circles. i think that the freshman roommate pairing process is good, but i wish that there were more ways for freshmen girls and guys to mix; definitely a college town but it's growing now because charlotte's getting bigger, too; it's a lot of work and some people are pretentious

In leiu of our basketball team's recent success, now people know what i'm talking about when i say "I go to davidson." we are now nationally recognized and that is awesome! I think the size of the school is perfect. Deffinitely a college town. The honor code is the best thing EVER!! except take home tests can be bad because it means you still have class. The lake campus is amazing. You can go do homework by lake Norman. Infact, you must complete a water credit aka you are "forced" to take swimmng, sailing, waterskiing, ect. Its not a bad life at all. The laundry Service (get your laundry done for you for free) is amazing.

Davidson is located in a teeny tiny college town. The school maintains an excellent relationship with the town, and townies turn out to sporting and campus events with almost as much enthusiasm as the students. Davidson has a student body of about 1700, but everyday I see people I've never seen before. You get to know your "clique" of friends, and everyone's peripheral friends, but there are very definitely strangers on campus. Students here work hard, but (many) play just as hard on the weekends (and select week nights). Davidson isn't a typical college- a lot more time is spent on academics than at many other, less rigorous, colleges.

When I say I go to Davidson, people often reply, "Where is that again?" However, due to recent basketball success, our name has gotten out there.

The best thing about davidson is the relationships you make with the girls on your hall.... it is too small... i spend most of my time in my room... there is a mediocre amount of school pride - most of the people are too busy working

With all of this basketball craziness, I think it has given the community the opportunity to show our true spirit. Being a cheerleader this experience has been so memorable, and I am grateful to have been a part of it. It is amazing to think that our team has impacted the nation and given Davidson a chance to shine and be unforgettable.

I think Davidson is the perfect school for a student who wants to be a big fish in a small pond. The beauty of Davidson is that you can have the best of the big and small school campus. You can eithr know everyone on campus or just limit yourself to your close groups of friends, either way you will have a great time!

i like the size of the school. the atmosphere here is very friendly, but the student body is not very diverse. most people do not know where davidson is, and, more importantly, they do not know how hard it is. davidson is a GPA deflator. after the recent success of our basketball team, hopefully more people will know about davidson.
