I believe the type of person that should not attend Florida Atlantic University, is someone who is looking for either the "big" college experience (ie. fraternity row, huge football games, etc.). Our football games and greek life is good, however, there are much better schools to go to if you are looking for that experience. I would say FAU is small to medium sized.

I think all students should be able to attend this school.

A person that should not attend my university (FAU) would be someone close-minded. As previously stated my university is very diverse and what we do not need is any narrow-minded individuals. Also someone that is not serious about their education should not attend this school, because they would be wasting their time. FAU is very efficient when it comes to due dates, being on time, etc.

Florida Atlantic University is a very diverse school. One would say people of all ages, races, and social preferences at the school are very happy. Everyone socially and academically, so anyone could go to Florida Atlantic University and very much so succeed. Everyone is very welcomed. If one was to not enjoy a sunny humid environment, the area of Boca Raton would not be of preference for a student with no liking of very sunny; sometimes rainy days.

someone who is looking for large college parties should reconsider because FAU is a smaller division I school in the NCAA and the parties are typically smaller.

People who come to school just to focus on their social life and not on their education.

If you really love to party hard....than this is NOT the school for you. For those of you who are looking for an semi-easy transition into college, FAU is great. Its a big campus but not so big that you'll get over whelmed. If you're looking into appling yourself to your school work and don't mind a little partying, than this is a good choice.

A person who does not like a quiet social scene, a very small campus, or a clique-like atmosphere should not attend this school.

People who don't like stereotypical frat guys.

A person that should not attend Florida Atlantic University should be one that feels uncomfortable around different ethnic groups since FAU has many diverse cultures that go there.

Someone who isn't commited to work hard.

A person that does not live in this state, a person whose major could not be found in this university, a person who chooses to be homeschooled, and/or a person who is not looking for a higher education.

Any student that is not willing to work hard and dedicate themselves to learning the material should not attend this university. In order to succeed at any university, a person needs to have the motivation to the desire to succeed. Florida Atlantic University taught me how to manage my time, work in a group setting and gave me the information I needed in order to succeed in the field of Social Work. Again, any person not willing to go above and beyond to succeed should not apply or attend Florida Atlantic University.

Some one who wants intimate campus & relationship with faculty/advisors. Someone who is looking for strong university family/identity/spirit...
