All the different degree programs, but mainly the Hospitality degree. We are known for our basketball team and the diversity of our students.

Florida International University is best known for its diversity. There are so many different cultures and beliefs represented on campus. Moreover, one doesn’t need to be a part of a specific culture to feel accepted in the school. Everywhere I turn there are different cultures communicating, working, and building relationships together. Our differences do not tear our school a part but make us one big community and family. There is a lot of diverse culture in Miami and FIU certainly represents that.

It is best known for its research. It is also known for its schools like Business, Law, Science, etc. that are topping the list on the country, not only in rankings but also statistically to appeal to minority students, particularly Hispanic. It is known for being an affordable public university.

For me FIU is known for it's diversity and community invovlement such as it's center which feeds hurricane information during hurricane season, many clubs which volunteer to help local hospitals, and sports entertainment. There are many clubs which assist different causes and cultures which stay involved with students of the school and also branch out to local communities and organizations.

My school is known for being an international school. The school is 65{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} latino, making the minority, the majority at our school. That is why I love FIU so much! You have students coming from Russia, Canada, Jamaica, Trinidad, Germany, Antigua, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Brazil, England, Haiti, Barbados, France, Cuba, Africa, and the list goes on and on. Meeting different people is great because it allows you to learn about their culture, customs, and their language. They also make good friends because you can easily make conversations with them. All you need to say is "Hey, where are you from?"

I've only been here for one year but my favorite tradition has to be the annual homecoming concert!

My favorite campus tradition (or more so superstition) is the spinning of the cube. You'll often see students spinning this large cube statue by our DM building because there is a saying that "if" you study hard enough and spin the cube the day before your exam, you're guaranteed an A. It's silly but when you see someone at the cube you just know they have an exam, and sometimes its the same one you are freaking out about. I've spun the cube plenty of times and have had its magic happen for me!

Step on the FIU Seal and not graduate! I think that's a tradition established to create respect for the FIU Seal!
