Florida International University has such a wide variety of majors and programs that can accomodate to anyones desires to a successful life. It is very diverse and allows students an oppurtunity to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures. This school, I believe has a bigger emphasis on business, engineering, and science majors then on other majors, so I reccomend it more for students who are in those majors. This school is not easy, it is challenging, therefore students that are foused in school and make it their number one priority should attend this school. In regards to race, ethnicity, and religion; this school is very multi cultural, hence it is open to a all type of backgrounds.

really anyone it is great and fun but for someone like me it can sometimes be distant because i live so close by if you really want to get into the school try living on campus and the honors colledge it makes it easier to integrate and appreciate where you are going and not just seem like a school.

Someone who doesn't mind the lack of a big social scene on campus. It is primarily a commuter school and no matter how many times they try to rectify that, it is still a commuter school. It's dead on the weekends and very often during the week as people usually part-time it and go to work as well. The person that should attend my school is someone who is looking for a change. The university is really focused on academics and you can have a social life. The school is called International for a reason, it is nice to see all the different cultures.

This campus would be ideal for most anyone, there is something for everyone here. FIU is an international university; I have shared classes with people from all over the world, from Chile to China, from India to Poland. The amount of diversity only helps make the university a melting pot of culture, new ideas and information. Someone who is focused on their studies should attend this university. Anyone who truly wishes to graduate and succeed in their field is guaranteed to do so here. Anyone who enjoys having fun and making new friends everyday should come to FIU!
