I wish I would have known more about the city around my school. How is the crime rate? What is the standard of living? Can I get a job there? I also wish I would have known more about the research done here. I wish I could have known more about their international programs. I wish I could have known more about how much it was going to cost me to come here, and the average amount it is for each class.

Not to take so many liberal classes my first semester

What the rooms actually contain since I am from out of state. I was not sure on what to bring.
Did not know who my roommates were, and what they were bringing so that we did not duplicate items.
I did not know much about Tallahassee and how to get around. Where to shop, the local malls and business or services that are offered in town.

I wish someone would've warned me that there a few social outlets aimed at the the 23-over crowd in Tallahassee. Most events are geared towards the 18-22 demographic. Sometimes, I'd like to go somewhere that I can meet and mingle with women closer to my own age.

I wish I had known to save more money. Although it was hard to save money in high school because I had many responsibilities, it would have been a great help to have saved more. I also wish I would have had better study skills coming in to Florida State because I had to learn how to be responsible for keeping up with my homework and grades all over again.

If I could go back in time I would beat up my highschool version of me for slacking off when he got into school. I would have wished I would have known about all the ammenities this school had to offer. I wish I would have known the difficulties in leaving the nest for the first time. I also wish I would have known what I would want to do with my life and career. But I am still learning of new things this school offers, still growing, and still dont know exactly where I'm going, and loving it.

When I came to Florida State University, I was prepared for being on my own, doing laundry, buying groceries, and paying bills. What I never anticipated, and wish I would have known, was that many of the people I interacted with would become some of my greatest friends; I didn't need to worry. Coming from a smaller high school where everyone was closely connected, I worried about a larger university like FSU and if I could find similar friends. However, I involved myself in academic circles, community service groups, and leadership programs, finding some amazingly talented friends for life.

I wish i had know about the large amounts of rain we get in Tallahassee. Bring an umbrella!

How to balance academics and social life.

I wish that I had known more about the many opportunities that the school offers and was able to easily decide which path I would like to endure.
